ਗੁੱਲੀ-ਡੰਡਾ

 

ਗੁੱਲੀ-ਡੰਡਾ: ਇਸ ਖੇਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ ਡੇਢ ਦੋ ਫੁੱਟ ਦਾ ਡੰਡਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜ ਸੱਤ ਇੰਚ ਲੰਮੀ ਗੁੱਲੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਦੋਨਾਂ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਛਿਲਕੇ ਤਿੱਖੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਖੇਡ ਦੋ ਟੋਲੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਕੇ ਖੇਡੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਇਕ ਘੁੱਤੀ(ਰਾਬ) ਪੁੱਟੀ ਜਾਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੋਂ ਡੰਡੇ ਨਾਲ, ਗੁੱਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੂਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਕ ਟੋਲੀ ਰਾਬ ਦੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਟੋਲੀ ਅਗਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਖੜਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਰਾਬ ਤੇ ਰੱਖਕੇ ਗੁੱਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਵਾਲੀ ਟੋਲੀ ਜੇਕਰ ਗੁੱਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਫੜ ਲਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਬਾਹਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਟੋਲੀ ਦਾ ਅਗਲਾ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਖੇਡਣ ਲਈ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਗੁੱਲੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਵਾਲੀ ਟੋਲੀ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਗੁੱਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਬ ਤੇ ਰੱਖੇ ਡੰਡੇ ਤੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਲਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਵੀ ਬਾਹਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਅਗਲਾ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਗੁੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਇਕ ਸਿਰੇ ਤੇ ਡੰਡਾ ਮਾਰਕੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਉੱਪਰ ਉਛਾਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਡੰਡੇ ਦਾ ਟੁੱਲ ਲਗਾਕੇ ਗੁੱਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਸੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਖੇਡ ਚਲਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ।

Gulli-Danda: This game consists of a stick of 1 and 1/2 to 2 feet and a 5 to 7 inches long Gulli which is sharpened by peeling on both sides. This game is played by two teams. A Ghutti (Raab) is dug on the ground from where the Gulli is thrown away in the air with a stick. One team stands at the back of the Ghutti (Raab) and the other at the front. When Gulli is thrown away by placing it on the Raab, if the team in front catches Gulli in the air then that player goes out and the next player of the first team comes to play. If Gulli falls to the ground, one of the players in the front team tries to hit the stick placed on the Ghutti (Raab) with the Gulli. If the target is hit, that player also gets out and the next player comes. Otherwise, the player of the first team throws the Gulli away with the stick again. This is how the game goes on.
