ਜਾਤ ਪਾਤ ਵਿਚ ਪਉਂਦੇ ਵੰਡੀਆਂ ਕੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਇਨਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ !
ਖਾਲੀ ਹੱਥ ਆਏ ਤੇ ਖਾਲੀ ਮੁੜ ਜਾਣਾ ਨਾ ਆਏ ਸਮਝ ਨਾਦਾਨਾ ਨੂੰ !
ਜੱਗ ਹੈ ਮੇਲਾ ਚਾਰ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਲ ਮੁਕਾ ਲਾਓ ਸਭ ਝਗੜੇ
ਤਾਲੇ ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਣੇ ਨੇ ਸਾਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਨਾ ਦੁਕਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ !
ਪੈਸੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਬਦਲ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦਫ਼ਾ ਧਾਰਾਵਾਂ ਲੱਗੀਆਂ ਜੋ
ਕੌਣ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ ਹੈ ਇਥੇ ਕਚਹਿਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਿਆਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ !
ਰੱਬ ਤਾਂ ਹਰ ਇਕ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਵਸਦਾ ਹੈ
ਫਿਰ ਕਾਹਤੋਂ ਲੋਕ ਪੂਜਦੇ ਨੇ ਇਥੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੇ ਭਗਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ !
ਮੇਰੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਭ ਕੁੱਝ ਇਥੇ ਬੇਗਾਨਾ ਹੈ
ਆਖਿਰ ਦਰਦੀ ਤੁਰ ਜਾਣਾ ਹਰ ਇਕ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਮਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਨੂੰ !
